About
Responsible for the establishment of business that have created over 8,000 jobs, Scott Sohr formed his first company as an undergraduate studying mechanical engineering at Auburn University. In the more than three decades since, Scott Sohr has proceeded to cofound over seven successful businesses in such wide-ranging industries as healthcare, finance technology, and real estate. His specific ventures include Built Technologies, Stonegate Land, Elmington Capital Group, Correct Care Solutions, and Environmental Waste Solutions.
Mr. Sohr manages these companies as the president of STS Ventures, a Nashville-based incubator he established to promote the creation and growth of start-ups. In leading STS, he draws not only on his degree from Auburn but also on a master of business administration from Vanderbilt University.
In addition to his business endeavors, Scott Sohr volunteers with and donates to Best Buddies International, a nonprofit focused on helping individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. He also contributes to the charity Gilda’s Club Nashville, which supports people with cancer.Education
